K281 Electronics Technician II or III

Performs skilled and complex electronics technical support work.
Work involves installing, diagnosing, maintaining and repairing electronic systems and equipment.
Work requires contact with departmental employees and private entities.
Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives.
Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor, but are handled at the occurrence.
Essential Duties:
Electronics Technician II:
Coordinates work and troubleshoots microprocessor controlled, frequency synthesized, programmed mobile radios, basestations and miscellaneous electrical equipment.
Inspects contracted work and coordinates the contract process.
Installs, removes, tests and repairs mobile two-way radio equipmentInstalls, removes, tests and repairs two-way base communications, repeaters, microwave and associated electronicequipment using electronic testing equipment including spectrum monitors, frequency monitors and volt-ohm meters.
Maintains records of equipment and call signsResponsible for maintaining digital and analog radio systems with multiplex.
Works on additional electronic equipment or telephone systemsPerforms other job responsibilities as assigned.
Electronics Technician III:
All of the above job duties and the following.
Receives and processes work orders from district sections and coordinates equipment repairs.
Trains and/or assists employees in the use of various electronic equipment; creates literature and conducts presentations as necessary.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
