Certified Nursing Assistant - A6 Cardiac IMC

Working under the supervision of a nurse, the Certified Nurse Assistant I administers patient care and related activities, services and/or procedures to promote the physical and emotional health and personal comfort needs for assigned patients.
Duties and responsibilities include: taking and recording vital signs, changing bed linens, transporting patients, assisting patients in ambulating, delivering food trays, general cleaning and supply distribution, and providing activities for daily living to include bathing, dressing, feeding and assisting with personal hygiene. This position may include other duties as assigned.
A6 is a 27-bed Cardiac Telemetry Stepdown unit in the Pavilion building. We care for cardiac patients who need medical management including CHR, heart attack or arrest. We do have patients with Cardiac drips and also take overflow patients from the Neuro Telemetry floor and from Med Surg. A6 has a dedicated team that is known for delivering exceptional patient care together with outstanding customer service.

Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Strong customer service skills and computer literacy is required. Previous experience as a Nurse Assistant in a hospital setting preferred.
Current Texas CNA Certification
CPR (American Heart Association)
If Associate has graduated from an accredited nursing program (RN) the certification is waived for the first seven months.
