Diesel Mechanic

AMERI-FORCE IS HIRING FOR THE POSITION OF DIESEL MECHANIC Diesel Mechanic Requirements:
Installs, repairs and maintains diesel engines.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures on the MCMs and other military vessels.
Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Internally:
Externally:
Coordinates with Navy and Coast Guard for compliance with requirements.
Work directly with system suppliers and their delivery teams as required.
Interface and work military personnel in a training capacity.
Supervision:
Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
May supervise a team of subcontractor mechanics at worksite.
Skills and Competencies:
The Mechanic must exhibit strong time management skills complemented by the ability to prioritize resolving issues/activities.
He/She must have working knowledge of marine vessels and diesel engine systems.
Qualifications:
The Mechanic must have a combination of over three years of directly related training and/or experience.
Must have knowledge of diesel engines, machinery, and auxiliary systems.
Must have the ability to comprehend technical drawings and specifications.
Ability to travel both the US and internationally.
Major Responsibility (Functions/Duties):
Maintains and repairs marine diesel engines.
Installs modifications and/or upgrades to engines.
